Download the Directory
The Product Directory is issued as a self-contained database application file, which you can install freely on your own computer. You may also pass copies of the downloadable file to others, freely and without restriction, as long as the copyright of WorldFIP over the contents is preserved.
The file which you download, "wfipprod.zip", should be unzipped and placed in a suitable diectory on your computer hard disk (using a copy of "unzip.exe" or "Winzip", both readily available from most bulletin boards). The 2 files within, "wfipprod.mdb" and "wfipprod.ldb", are designed for use with Microsoft Access97.
Note -- you do not need to purchase a full licensed copy of Microsoft Access. Any user with a copy of Microsoft Office on their computer may run the download file, using the "runtime" version of Microsoft Access which is included free with every copy of Microsoft Office.
Introduction to Product Directory
The WorldFIP Product Directory is a searchable database of currently-available WorldFIP-compatible products. You may examine the database in three ways:- Search by Product Type
- Search by Product Vendor
- Search for specified text string
More than 300 products are listed in the current issue of the Directory.
Using the Product Directory
The database contains basic information to allow you to identify the names and general descriptions of products to meet your requirements, along with details of the manufacturer/vendor.Use the database to identify one or more products which appear to fit your requirements, then contact the manufacturer/vendor direct to obtain full and up-to-date technical and price information. You can use the Members' Directory elsewhere on this site to help you make contact.
Adding to the Product Directory
The list of WorldFIP-compliant products is constantly growing:- Standard Boards: PC, VME, SBX, G64/96...etc
- Remote I/O: For field installation, OEM packages etc
- Controllers: Process controllers, PLCs...etc
- Man-machine Interfaces: Operator stations, CAE, cell controllers
- Sensors and Actuators: Press/temp/flow sensors, drives, valves etc
- Networks: Taps, connectors, cables, s/w tools...etc
- Drives: DC, AC, full vector. Standard products, intelligent products with advanced functions.
WorldFIP is always keen to promote new WorldFIP-compatible products, and to include them in the Product Directory.

The Product Directory should help you to find the WorldFIP products that exactly meet your needs.If you require any advice or assistance, either in sourcing the ideal product(s) or in applying them, you have two main options:
